I'm looking to purchase an area rug for my living room. I have dark brown wood floors and a new Maxwell sofa from Restoration Hardware in Brompton Cocoa. I'd like to place a lighter colored area rug in front of the sofa. I've found a couple I like at Restoration Hardware, but am hoping there is a less costly option available.

What I'm looking for:
6'x9' in size (or close to it)
Wool (scared of synthetics from reading online, should I consider?)
Approximately 1/2" pile depth (Not shag, but also not flatweave)
Preferred hand-woven (although budget might preclude this)
Solid pattern
Approximately $550, give or take $50 bucks ($10/SF, is that reasonable?)
If my budget doesn't allow for the above, where should I consider alternatives first, looking at synthetics or something besides wool, or accepting of construction that isn't hand-woven?

They both run around $1500 (approx. $28/SF). I'm hoping a lot of that is RH branding, or should I just expect a good quality (but not investment grade) rug to cost that much?
