need help with my kitchen ceiling

just purchased a seasonal condo with an old fashioned suspended lighted ceiling - I don't want to pull it down because it would entail a lot of work - what can I do to make it attractive - I was thinking of placing some square tin ceilings around the edge.

Photos showing the current ceiling would be helpful.

Not much you can do with those ceilings to make them attractive.

You might be surprised what is up under there. Take a tile down. You should see a regular ceiling. The only thing you might have to change is the lighting fixtures. And paint.

I had the same thing.....easy to take down. Install wallboard and lighting, then paint. Much more headroom and kitchen looks bigger!
