Wow, thats some headboard! I can see that your lamps are too small since you have them balancing on books. Very unsafe and precarious. Use those lamps elsewhere and get some taller ones. There are plenty of beautiful yet inexpensive lamps available at Home Goods, TJ Maxx or just about any home store. Your new lamps do not have to match as long as they are the same height.

I'd also consider adding some color in bedding and then maybe lampshade in a pastel to match. For some reason I am thinking soft powder blue as dominant color. Whenever you buy a lampshade, you MUST take the lamp with you. Otherwise it's like trying to buy a hat without bringing your head.

I would recommend a lamp shade with a geometric design in gray if you want a soft colors throughout your room, or you could choose summer wheat or a royal blue to add a pop of color. I agree with the previous comment about the lamps. A good suggestion for a safe and taller choice would be a Safavieh Ratia Floor Lamp (crystal/chrome base) or a Threshold Double Socket Floor Lamp in white or natural wood.
