are you doing a backsplash? do you want a countertop that is plain or something with a little movement to it? Look at some quartz or quartzite slabs. Or some granite slabs in the earth tones since you have cream cabinets. (they are beautiful by the way!! great kitchen!) If you know what you want for your backsplash, then you can choose your countertop accordingly. Do you like any of these backsplash ideas? They all go well w/your cabinets and flooring. On the second photo, it's natural stone, you could lay them in a herringbone pattern (like the first pic).
