What is the name of this countertop? I've been looking for white granite.

Counter top material? I am wondering if this is granite or marble, and what the name of it is.

    I say marble...I didn't submit this picture-so I don't know

It looks like 3cm honed carrara marble.

Thanks for your replies. My understanding is using marble for a countertop can be a problem. Is that true?

Marble is more pourous than granite. It does stain and will scratch. Honed marble doesn't show scratches as much as a polished finished. It is a material that you have to be careful with. Silestone has a quartz called Bianco River that has a similar look and would stand up much better to the heavy use of a kitchen.

Thank you for letting me know. It's beautiful. I have a lovely marble countertop in my bathroom. After a guest left a ring from a hot cup on it, I knew I could never have marble in my kitchen. I'm just too meticulous.
