My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Can you tell me what kind of panels you used? Is there a rainscreen behind it? Is it something like Dryvit (EIFS)? How are they fastened and is the reveal sealed somehow? Its beautiful. I live in Michigan too and wonder how this technique will perform long-term.

    the wood product is called prodema and another similar product is trespa , theyr rain screens - see their website for their specific details, the silver is a corrugated metal

      I'm doing some research on rainscreen systems. Cembonit, eternit, etc. I'm particularly interested in your project because I too live in Birmingham, MI and I'm wondering if a paneled design will have warped/sagging boards in just a few years. There's a good post about the layers involved in a rainscreen, albeit this post is from the Northwest. I wonder if the same rules apply. http://blog.buildllc.com/2008/03/rainscreens/

      We're working w/ a builder and they mentioned Dryvit, but I wondering why they'd suggest that and NOT a rainscreen/fiber cement panel system. Thanks for taking time to read my posts.

      trespa has all the specs and details for the rain screen - very simple. abet laminate also makes the panels and prodema

      no - there is a rain screen and the corrugated metal is fastened w concealed fasteners - its been up for 10 yrs and no problems
