Shower curtain on sloped wall???

We are in the process of turning a small bedroom on the 2nd floor into a bathroom with shower. The only placement for the tub/shower was under the existing attic stairs. We're happy with the tile and the layout of the room, but I'm stumped on what to do with the shower curtain. Because of the sloped wall we can't use the traditional tension rod type. Any suggestions? Custom glass is not an option - not in the budget. Thanks in advance!

Instead of using a tension bar, what about hanging the curtain on regular curtain rods attached to the wall vs the inside of the tub?

Wondering if space is large enough for the set up in first picture. Or you could add one piece of glass which will be much more affordable than a custom glass enclosure.

Thanks Maureen - I like the one piece of glass idea.
And n247080 - I had thought about using the curtain rod on the walls outside the shower and just running the curtain across. I wasn't sure that would work - so glad someone else was thinking the same.

Going out on a limb here, but have you thought of a penny round tile backsplash? Another poster had mentioned all the square lines of your room - maybe this is a way to soften it up and also not compete with the floor - have look at pics on Houzz or Google it - some nice pics come up - also quite cost effective and apparently could be a DYI project.

If not the single glass (your best bet) maybe a fixed panel that hangs on hooks that is kept mostly pulled back?

You could also ceiling mount a rod or track system.

or cut the rod short..or maybe one of those curved shower curtain rods

I have the same set up. I used a tension rod with curtain and plastic liner, but had to shorten them both.

This is a specialty item. I ordered mine from Shower Rods a division of J Sharone's and very happy with the quality. They are located in Winter Garden, Florida. Google their website. Very happy with the end result. Makes for a very classy bathroom.

For the shower curtain to fit, I recommend you take the shower curtain to a seamstress and give her the dimensions' straight accross and the degree angle for the slant area ans she should be able to alter it to fit nicely. Take into account the percentage of the htop horizontal line as compared to the angled side when it's eased in. Much cheaper than a glass panel and much nicer. Love mine.

Sometimes the easiest, cheapest and most straightforward routes can simply go unnoticed.

But yes, as Marla9 graciously pointed out, figuring out the shower *curtain* is a real pain.

This solution worked for me, but I am a DIYer…
