anita, here is what i want to say . . you have a mid century gem - take off the shutters, replace the entry door with a more contemporary door, paint the front door your favorite blue-green - i suggest boca raton blue from ben moore. . . . then, do the house in a modern tone to bring forward the contemporary lines from those fabulous windows.

For the south facing lake windows, you can do the longer woven blinds - HD has them in standard widths - that span several windows so you can raise them completely for sun and the view . . .
