I like the dark cable rail; is it painted, anodized, reflecting, etc.?

I'm looking for a cable rail in a color other than natural stainless steel.

    It's blackened steel - hot or cold-rolled steel that has been oxidized with a tool blackener. It maintains the raw metal feel and, in my opinion, character and soul of the material. Painting / powder-coating / anodizing kind of kill the beauty of steel.
