Are you saying you have 16 non IC rated can lights? If so, then you need to change them to IC rated lights. Your insurance company will thank you. While you are changing the fixtures it is also a good opportunity to change the baffle to airtight baffles.

It is not an option to change all of the lights. The question is how to cover the can lights that are installed in the house?

Call the light manufacturer and ask. Or download the installation instructions.

The house was built in 1960's, don't know who the light manufacturer is, this was before the internet ... Google was the first natural reaction before I came to this board... If you don't have any idea - why do you need to attempt to answer? I'm looking for help - not ridicule..
