Alternative to Cobea
Hi Everyone; I have a trough type planter box on my deck with a 4x8 trellis that I have grown Cobea in for the last 3 years. I use the Cobea as it is the only vine that I have found that remains green down at it's base all summer long. The trouble is, it does not have that much in the way of bloom and so the trellis is a solid mass of green (man this plant is an awesome grower!!!) but very little in the way of colour. And so my question is.........is there a very fast growing vine, with lots of bloom, that will withstand incredible afternoon heat and sun, that will stay green at soil level? I have tried scarlet runner beans and morning glory in the past along with I am sure a few others that the names escape me right now.
So thanks for any help that anyone can give me
