Am thinking you might begin a nice little seating area by digging out the grass in the area of the chair, in a nice little shape to begin your potential garden spot. Put in some bricks - a few at a time, then the chair and a table and perhaps some pots so the chair won't just be stuck there w/no purpose.

I recently put some adirondack chairs in my back yard from the Iowa Adirondack Company, and it was a great addition. We can sit out now in comfort (except for the mosquitoes!) and watch the kids play. Best of luck! MM
