I bought some bird seed and wanted to see if they would germinate and they did. I would like to plant quite a few sunflowers this year and this route would be way cheaper as most packets I come across only have 10 or so seeds per pack at $2.99. Problem is I would like sunflowers to be at least 5 ft tall and somewhat full foliage. Does anyone know anything of the sunflowers they use for bird seed? Thanks.
