My first wiring...

Ok-- I did it. My first wiring attempt on a Juniper I got from Lowes. It was actually quite easy. The trunk is perfectly straight so I went with the formal upright style. It has several great branches, spaced out nicely, all the way up to the crown. It seems, though, that the tapering of the branches from bottom to top will be the most difficult for me. Some of the branches near the top are a lot longer than those on the bottom-- so I did some chopping. The tree looks rediculous now. Is that typical? I realize that the foliage has to be trained and grown in-- but the tree looks so silly.
