I bought a hanging basket with these yellowish trailers, I think it's called golden creeping jenny. I'd love to put these in my own baskets but I have not seen them sold separately. Do they root well? I did try some last fall and they all died, but all I did was stick them around the edges of an existing basket; maybe they needed more TLC. BTW, I'm a dead failure at rooting in water for whatever reason. I do have rooting hormone, perlite, vermiculite, etc.

Anyone have a tried and true way of rooting these?
