You may want to look up Downy Mildew of Impatiens. It's a well-known disease which appears to be running rampant in many locations all over the world, including the US. I don't believe that it has been reported in Georgia yet, but it might be worth contacting your local extension office for some advice. With this serious disease on the radar, perhaps someone will wish to collect some samples for testing.

Please know that I am NOT suggesting that your yard is a hotbed for downy mildew! It's simply that this disease is becoming quite widespread and may change the look of our shady gardens in the near and far future.

Look down a few posts and you'll see my problem with impatiens too. Thanks for putting a picture up because that's exactly like mine look. For those who were responding to me, this is how they look. Impatiens used to be the easiest carefree plant, and now it's been a real pain. I've replaced so many which never happened in 30 years.

It's time for us to get creative and come up some alternative plants for the shadier parts of our gardens.
