Yes you can bring it in. Gerbera is a tender perennial. You can also take cuttings and start new plants. Cut below a leaf, dip in rooting hormone and plant in sandy soil. Keep them moist.

They should bloom this summer. When you get your plant, plant them in small containers. Gerbera blooms best when slightly pot bound.

Not unless you particularly want them in pots. I grow them so use them in mass plantings and they do great in-ground too. I would dig them up before frost and pot them and save them for next year. They can get nice and large with some age on them, depending on variety.
