keep them in paper bags anywhere dark & not wet. like coffee tins, etc. if the bulbs are coming up before they die back naturally then I'd personally put in some clean sawdust (like hamster bedding) to help with the moisture control. Basement not required :-)

Depending on how early they are pulled you might want to replant them and let them die off naturally. That will give them a little time to form new bulbs for next year. The longer they grow the more likely you will be to see some success. Don't expect too much though, and the further south you are, the lower your chances will be.
