Are you wanting to put in perennials or annuals? As for watering. . . I would buy a soaker hose and just lay it in the bed (cap off one end) and when needed hook up a hose to it and water your bed, you can do it by hand but the soaker hose really saturates the gound. These are the black resin hoses that just seep water thru the walls of the hose. I used mine one year when we were on water restriction and I had a veg garden that needed watered everyday, its a great way to get water to the roots spending very little time doing it. You might also spread a good mulch or bark in the bed it helps reduce the watering while keeping the soil moist.

I am looking for either annual or perennial really. Just looking for some ideas. It's in a bed seen from the side yard and also where some of our pets are burried. So, some color would be nice. But again, like you mentioned, something I could spend a short amount of time on. - Thanks! Terra
