Here's a good tip for you that we never think about. Of course, it depends upon whether you got some seeds in a trade from someone else.

I'm in zone 8b, but you'd think 11a by the heat we are having here in Central Texas. Make a trip to the local feed store. You can get veggies seeds for a fraction of what the postage would cost in a trade... and get a heckuva lot more seeds, too.

I'll have some okra seeds in a month or so. Mine are still very small.
