Mine are not doing well this year either. I'll be surprised if they bloom.

Summer

Mine arent doing well this year in z7 NC. For my area, April is still too early to start them indoors. They hate cold temps once being set out into the garden, so I wait until May 15th (funny, since I used that same date in z6 MA). Despite plenty of experience growing these and doing nothing wrong, mine are just refusing to grow. We had a cool Spring. That must be it. It didnt heat up until July here. However, I was prepared for this possibility, and grew alternates just in case. I used Snow Peas as decoration for the arbor and it worked out well.

Snow peas on an arbor sounds like a great idea. They like cooler weather tho, I believe, so they must be all dried up by now or is the foliage still green? If so, I may try some rather than ornamentals next year. My friend that grows moonflower every year is disappointed with hers. Too bad as the flowers are awesome.
