I believe I have tall phlox and I have a question. My sister wants some phlox so I collected seeds for her. Is it best to throw the seeds on the ground now, or wait until spring?

Also, this is new to me. I collected several seeds last night and placed them on my counter. Well, today my husband kept hearing a popping sound all day. Coome to find out it was the phlox seeds popping. Man, those seeds popped all over the place. Now I know how the phlox spread!!

So, I think I just answered my question, right? They can be planted this fall?
