LED back lite steps

I want to do this exact step effect on my home. what are the steps and materials needed to do the steps? I already have all the tile for the steps and landing, i am planning on back light onyx that is pineapple in color. Thanks Nick Gettino

A standard method is using an led light strip, there are several mfrs. You'll want to make sure the light strip is rated for exterior and wet locations. Aion is one mfr.: http://www.aionled.com/

thank you for the response. I was actually looking for instructions on how to apply the LED strip to the tile and make it water proof. I have researched the LED lights, and know i need a silicon encased product, with the power supply and controller.

What about for an interior staircase? Do you need to use one independent element for each step or can you use a long one and cover several ones?

The steps are made with 12 inch square adobe pavers about one inch thick. Lighting is an outdoor rated rope or string lights by Fiber Creations of Phoenix, Arizona

The string of lights about 2 inches apart a cut to size and connected to a main line. If you stairs are 4 feet wide the string of light would be 4 feet wide. Try FiberCreations of Phoenix, Arizona
