Eggplants - not germinating

I started some eggplant seeds in a grow-plug seed started kit. All of my tomato seeds germinated (it's been 7 days since I planted the seeds), but not one of my eggplants germinated.

I have 3 varieties of eggplant, from 2 different vendors. Any tips? Are there little tricks?

Thanks!
