Recommendations for a really deep container

This summer I want to grow at least one Buffalo Gourd vine, but there are many warnings about their persistent invasiveness, so I believe I must use a container. The roots get to be huge -- the vines are perennial and the second year is when the root grows to be very large. In the midwest where they grow wild, some roots of older plants have weighed in at 66 pounds! I don't want to set this monster free in Georgia soil!

So, trash can, I thought. A deep one. Deep and skinny is better than shallow and wide.

Is a trash can my only option?
