There are so many different brands and models on the market and it is up to your "needs" and what you would like.

We recommend our customers, not to go with the cheapest model. Keep in mind, once your shower is tiled and you are later on not 100% satisfied or it starts leaking etc., you don't have a chance to change it without destroying the tile work.

Therefore first I would look here at Houzz which type/features I would like. Once you chose your model I would ask what brand it is and maybe where you can buy it. Then I would do my research on the Internet to get more detailed information about my "dream" model. The most expensive model must be not automatically to be the best! Next step is to find out where you can get it and which plumber in your area is able to install it properly.

Grohe is a very good brand and as far as I know the market leader. If you go with Grohe, you do nothing wrong.

Thanks - am doing unit in a vacation home. Need to use antique bronze which limits things a bit. That is why I was potentially looking into other brands.

This is not a problem. Other manufacturers have also good stuff. As I said already. Look first for a model on which you attracted and thereafter do some research in the internet to figure out the details about this model. And maybe a plumber here on houzz could give you some more advices about your selected model.
