If you feel you need something like that, just use any commonly found 1:1:1 ratio (like 20-20-20) w/o amending or amend with a little ProTeKt 0-0-3.

Once per week, I foliar feed with a dilute mixture of Green Light's Super Bloom Flower Food (12-55-6) and their Blossom-End Rot Spray that supplies calcium. It has helped me to keep tomatoes flowering and setting fruit despite really high temps. My full sized tomatoes quit setting fruit a few weeks ago because of the high temps, but I also grow heirloom cherry tomatoes that don't seem to notice the high temp.

I've heard that most plants use more Nitrogen - throughout the season - than they do P or K.

I've also observed that my pepper plants must achieve critical mass before they begin to
actually set pods from the flowers. To do this, I provide Nitrogen.

Greenman - my sweet banana peppers have certainly reached critical mass, but they have yet to set more than one pepper. It might be because of the 95 degree weather we've been having, but I think it's more because of an excess of nitrogen at the expense of blooms and fruit.

I think it's the hot weather, personally.
Another thing I do to encourage fruiting is to pinch off the tops of my pepper plants.

I've heard Al say several times to reduce the N rather than add P. I've been wondering how to do that. How much do you reduce the N? Is there a recommended percent?

I've been using my orchid fertilizer with good results. 20-16-15. It also has micro nutrients. Getting a bunch of tomatoes, hot peppers, beans and herbs in containers.

I'm using orchid fertilizer because I grow orchids and never got around to buying another fertilizer and it was all I had. I fertilize very little, maybe once every few weeks, but all my plants are doing well.
