The glass island is beautiful! Would love to know if extra caution would be needed on what is placed on the counter, how fragile/durble is the glass especially around the edges?

Hello- The edges of any counter, no matter what the material is, can be vulnerable. We have fabricated many counters like the one pictured in residences and restaurants and have not had any instances of breaking or chipping. I'm so glad you like our glass - It's beautiful, doesn't take up a lot of visual space and is so easy to maintain. Thanks for your question!

OMGOODNESS! Forget Granite! This glass piece is absolutiely beautiful !! I have white tile throughout my kitchen including the kitchen bar area that does not stand alone but goes right up to my oven. Would you be able to put this glass on top of white tile or is it better to remove the tile at the bar area and lay the glass on wood painted white? I like the look of the glass on the white. This is spectacular!!! Diane

Hello Diane- Thanks for the compliment! We agree that glass is a viable alternative to granite, for sure! Since you already have tile installed, it might be quite a task to replace it with our glass.
