Just a note...Beans can obtain their own Nitrogen (The first 8 in your 888 fertilizer). I wouldn't feed them anymore. If you do decide to feed again, I would pick a fertilizer that has a low Nitrogen number. Just my two cents. Good Luck.

Agree - in fact I'd say they are way overfed already, sorry. Legumes such as beans and peas don't need or even tolerate large amounts of fertilizers - especially N. Gets you big lush plants with little to no production of beans or peas.

Well, the OP will learn. At my somewhat acid site, I only make a row of wood chips for mulch, sprinkle some wood ash, maybe a couple tbsp per plant, and plant the beans in the chips. Wood ash is 0/2/5 or so. That is all they need (pole beans) for the whole season.

I agree with Dutchess and Digdirt,
Legumes don't like added nitrogen and unless you soil is lacking something! only weeding and water are needed... JMHO.
