Clerestory windows

I love my clerestory windows but at some times of day the sun shines on the TV so it is unwatchable. Can't move the TV - it's the only "solid" wall. I know they make "remote" controlled blinds but I really can't afford that. I'm looking for an inexpensive DIY way to easily cover/uncover windows that will not interview with opening/closing the windows. They slide to the left to open (use a window pole).

Tried to add photo but guess I can't do it from my iPhone camera.

Have you actually priced remote-controlled blinds? They have come down in price a lot over the years. Or you might consider adding a window film that will filter the light. It would be permanently installed, though.

I actually have not checked prices recently. I'll need 4. I'm not too crazy about window film. I'll do some research on remotes. Thanks.
