I saw another post similar to this one. Someone said its leaf edema. Aka too much water.

Most of the time I see somebody posting about leaf distortion in the hot pepper forum, calcium deficiency is cited quite often. And many times the plants outgrow it and are fine.

Possible suggestion, but you may want to ask in the hot pepper forum. Check the ph -- if it's a tad on the acidic side, add a tad of dolomite lime. If it's neutral or alkaline, maybe some gypsum or sulfur might help. Or find a soluble fertilizer with Calcium and Magnesium in it. Foliage Pro is one.

Also, regarding your drip system -- you may want to ditch it for PEPPERS. Peppers like to dry out between waterings.

The drip system can be the culprit but it has been very hot and dry in NorthernCalifornia. They are bell pepers not hot but that was the only group coming Up when I searched for pepper answer. We have been having colder nights very common here. Have to stop at nursery later

Same rules apply for bells than hot peppers when it comes to watering, soil, ferts.

Let them almost wilt before giving a good soak.

Also, folks over in the hot pepper forum are more than willing to help you with SWEET peppers.
