Thank you, thank you, thank you for that link Alan: I couldn'r figure out why my 8th leaf Beurre Bosc has yet to put out t a single flower, incorrect pruning! My eyes have been opened. Everything in that article makes sense looking at my tree and how it has responded to my efforts over the long, non-productive years!

I was damned frustrated and about to cut the tree down, guess I'll swallow my pride and change my pruning:)

If anybody wants to see a pic. of a Beurre Bosc pruned and trained the wrong way, let me know.

Now if I can just remember, think I'll hang a big sign in the tree to stop me from pruning it in the dormant stage.
