Maybe a black walnut.?

I wouldn't say maybe. That is a black black wall nut tree. You can tell by that asymmetrical bit of each leaf at the stem.
I have a few around my house and the squirrels love planting the nuts in my garden and yard.
They may be a slow growing tree, but they are really hard to kill once established . They have a very long tape root.
