Just check on the water regularly, they may look witty and a bit unhappy, but will be fine. It will probably effect fruit set, so don't be surprised if you see some flowers dropping off and not forming fruits. The production will pick back up once the temps come back down to normal ranges.

Some shade might help.

For me, the heat plus the severe lack of rain is terrorizing everything. In the yard, I have full size trees wilting, with a couple of fir trees actually shedding foliage. As for the garden, the cuke beetles are out of control, but otherwise, my tomato and pepper plants are geting abnormally large, but are dropping flowers. I suspect that when the temps come back down into the 70's and 80's, that they be flowering and fruiting like mad, considering the plants are 5 feet tall already.

Just watered all the veggies well - the front ornamentals may be toast....I can't go out there again......

eggplants seem to be doing well - blossom drop on toms and peppers but the fruit that set is ripening.....

squash and melons growing well.....no fruit as yet or even blossoms....

will the temps go down? lol! I'm losing hope.......

Front supposed to come through on Friday, t-bird. Might get down to the 80s. But no rain.

Make sure to mulch well as well, not only will this conserve moisture in the soil, but it will also keep it a little cooler-not to mention keep the weeds down. Th thicker the mulch the better.
