Lowering Hanging Plants

I have two large (20+ lb.) Spider Plants that we have had for over 20 years. They have moved with us twice and are now very happy in separate skylights in our family room. Getting up on a step ladder to water and care for them is becoming more difficult as we age and I'm looking for an alternative.

What I would like is a small battery operated winch or hoist that operates from a remote control. My wife does not want ropes or pullies attached to the walls. In this day and age of powerful electric screw drivers and drills, it seems like someone would make a small device to put between your plant and ceiling hook to lower the plant 5 or 6 feet for maintenance. Does anyone know of such a device?

Thank you.
