Anthurium soil temperature

The other day I bought a Anthurium. It was root bound so I repotted it in a larger terra cotta pot. The temperature inside my apartment is around 72 degrees. I noticed that the terra cotta pot was very cold. I used a digital meat thermometer to check the temperature of the soil and it was 63 degrees, a full 10 degrees lower than the air temp. I checked my other plants (in plastic containers) and their soil temperatures were around 70 degrees.

What should the soil temperature be? Do terra cotta pots generally lower the soil temperature? Should I repot again in a plastic container?
