How about for this application?

Can hypertufa be used to make decorations for fish tanks and reptile enclosures? I'm guessing yes for reptile enclosures but am not sure about underwater in fish tanks. What do you guys think? To make caves, rocks, and stuff.

If it can be used underwater, do you think it would need to be waterproofed or not?

I'm thinking fresh water but what the hey, how about marine too?

I would not try hypertufa in my tank. I would expect there may be some residue initially coming off the hypertufa. Ask the pet store - I have never seen cement fish ornaments. Fish seem to be very sensitive to what is in the water - at least in an enclosed tank

My son did an application for his 250 gallon aquarium. He found out how to do it on you tube. Go to DIY aquarium back grounds. He had to flush the water through several times, but the fish are all well and its really cool! Hope this helps.
