covering ceramic with hypertufa

I have been looking for an ancient looking head in cement that was not expensive..I found a ceramic one the right size.(cheap).can I cover it with hypertufa? not as a mold, I would just leave it inside..This is what I want to do with it ;-)click link

I think that you may have better success by covering the head with silicon and then creating a mold. Then fill the mold with hypertufa or some other mix. Getting hypertufa to stick to ceramic may be tough.

If you can cover the ceramic with latex to make a mold, can you use latex on top of anything to make a mold? Just wondering?
