I've also used the tile and grout sealer, and high gloss concrete sealer. I have never had it go milky. Was it very humid when you applied it? I think you should return it to HD , it doesn't sound right to me.

I tried "Cure and Seal" from HD - once. I used it on a cast EE leaf that I had painted with latex paint. It looked great, dried clear and glossy - until it was exposed to water (I used the leaf as a fountain). The continuous water exposure turned the sealer white and it eventually flaked off. Not impressed.

As hot and humid as it has been, I agree with Klinger that humidity may be an issue. Perhaps the sealer hasn't thoroughly dried. Set it aside and see what happens.

I don't live in a climate where freezing is an issue, but almost all of the things I have made are outside (painted with exterior latex mixed with bonding agent) in the elements - mostly rain and harsh sun, and I have not seen any appreciable degredation of color or finish over the years. Then again, these are all display pieces and not constantly walked on like step stones would be. I would be interested in learning of a durable sealer too!

Evyjo --- re-check the package. Many sealers are not supposed to be applied until the concrete (or other cement-based mix) is "fully cured". That's 28 days. I use only penetrating sealers which are solvent based and have never had a problem. Just a thought...or two.
