wrinkled bell pepper

I am trying to grow bell peppers. My plants are doing well, but I have one pepper on which the skin has started to slightly wrinkle. If I were buying it at the store, I'd think it was old.

This pepper is still fairly small- 1 1/2 inches- and is supposed to be of a red variety (has not started to change color at all yet).

Why would the skin be slightly wrinkled? Could it have gotten dehydrated at one point?

It's been in the 95-100 degree range, hot and humid here (S. Texas, Z8).
