I planted a plum tree purchased from K-mart in the early spring of 2008. It is approximately 4 ft. tall and accepted the transplantation very well. It lived very well that summer and weathered the winter like it'd been there all its life. This spring it leafed out just like the prior year, but without one single blossom. I really expected to harvest a little fruit this year and was kind of disappointed. Other than that its doing fine. I have a peach tree that was purchased and planted at the same time which has not disappointed me. I would like to know if this is normal with the plum tree. Also, the wind took away the name tag for the tree, so I can't tell you the variety.
