Thanks! It looks like the canker, kinda. Those are pitted this is a rounded scab.

I have some ripe tomatoes. With light brown scabs on them are they still alright to eat

Without a photo of the damage it's amounts to guessing. Sometimes this late in the season the foliage (leaves) don't shade the fruits adequately enough resulting in sunscald. So if the tomatoes in question are exposed to direct sunlight for most of the day they can get sun (scald) burn. Generally the damage is confined to the top of the fruits around the shoulders.
