That is so pretty. When the verbena grow out over the front, it will be just beautiful. You'll have to show us another picture then.

Well done, its already beautiful, and will be more so when full and lush. Excellent find.

Wow, what a drag! just teasing...ok I am bored and just trying to keep myself awake. You know 2 more boards and that would have been a sittable bench. I love the color and verbena will grow great in it.

Very nice!! You hit it lucky with that!

I can hardly wait until we have flowers and pretty things here. At least the snow has melted!

It wasn't too awful before but I like the green you used on it! What an awesome find! It will look lovely when the flowers fill out. Make sure you share a picture of it at its peak!

That must have been a sight to see. You're out walking & you bring your own bench along for those rest periods! LOL!!! Great find & it looks lovely.

It's amazing what some people throw away - and completely amazing what other talented people can turn it into! What a beautiful job. And I love the color. Colleen

Acccckkkkkkk, I've been infected with BENCH ENVY !!
I am positive there is NO cure for this either. Other than a miracle like this bench suddenly appearing in my yard. LOL

it's just my opinion. but i think the bench looked better before you painted it. anyone else brave enough to agree with me? it was a very good find.

The bench is great. i love the green paint, it breathes new life into something old. don't get me wrong, i love old, antiques, dh, etc. this bench, in its original finish reminds me of the 1980's trailer furniture, and wall paneling. you are very blessed to have the insight & creative vision. YOU GO GIRL!!!!

Dustyknees, I liked the bench just as well in the before picture as I do in the after. Either one would look great planted with flowers!

Dusty, I'd be thrilled to have TWO...one each way! The green color is so lovely and antique-ish, and yet I've always loved a rich wood grain. I'm glad I didn't have to make the decision what to do with this!
This was a fabulous find. Before AND After.

I love your bench!!! It looks great!!!

Well first off it was mildewed and peeling all the varnish when found ,the photo was shot AFTER my 80 year old dear dad sanded it.I am a HUGE painted furniture enthusiast.
Remember we are in Florida so exterior house paint just made sense!
It is a small bench maybe child or teddybear size so I couldnt see putting a plank on it,my grandkids are waaaaay to active and would have knocked it over.
Thanks for the nice compliments and comments.
time to go out and scout for more!
