I think you have to wait for it to produce female flowers. They will have small fruits attached to them that will eventually be polinated by the bees. The vine is probably only producing male flowers right now.

trini1 is right--wait. First the vine produces lots of male flowers and then comes the female flowers with the fruits.
Also I am curious, what is the high temps in Atlanta? I live in NJ and already have fruits--and vine is almost dying out because of the low temps--I am planning to pull out the vine this weekend.

It sounds like you either planted it late or it's not getting enough sun. There should be fruit long before now.

I agree that it's too late. Days are getting shorter and shorter and the temps cooler.

But you can probably eat the small fruit. just will be very little to eat. I would wait and see what happens but be ready to pick when the freeze comes or cover them. But definitely not enough time to ripen the fruit.

I figured it was too late until I saw flowers. The forecast for the next 7 days is highs in the 80s and lows in the 50s with no rain. I'm hoping that's enough to give some small fruits at least.

Watch for time of appearance of pollinators.Many a times pollinators visit at the time when flowers bloom in search of nectar.If this continues for couple days then there is good chance that vine will bear good fruits.What one more thing can be done is if you spot the male flowers pick one of it and use it to hand pollinate the female flowers by bringing face to face contact with female flowers. Use the same flower to pollinate as long it is useful.
I prefer morning time for this.Keep the good moisture around the plants.

My snake gourd plant is indoors. It produced two long fruits but now is like frozen in place. The ends are not growing. The fruits are not growing any longer. Any ideas?
