We downsized to a smaller home on a little lake. The kitchen was a disaster with some kind of whitewash over oak with walls chopping it up into different areas. We did a total gut, knocked out walls and installed cream white cabinetry with a butterscotch glaze, oak flooring, light copper hardware. Basically we made the home an open concept design. Added a matching island, a serving area and tucked the working part of the kitchen around the corner away from the dining area. We love it and hope you do too.
