skirret germination method

I've found a very good way to germinate them. I surface-sowed them in ordinary well-drained potting mix, gave them a good watering, and placed the container into a sealed plastic bag. I placed the bag a few inches under fluorescent lights at around 60 degrees F. The lights are on for 12 hours each day. They are germinating strongly after 10 days.

I'm not sure if all these steps are necessary. It would take a long time to experiment and find out the least complex technique.

I tried them last March in chilly outdoor conditions, and they didn't come up at all.
