MowPart.com Beware

I ordered some wheels for my Toro Lawn Mower through their website, they were the wrong part # which was my mistake. When I got around to putting them on the mower I discovered the error and called them, since I had them over 30 days before notifying them I now own $81.46 worth of 2 paperweights which are not returnable. My mistake I know, the real ticker for me is their reply to my non-nasty letter concerning the wheels....a 10% off coupon for my next purchase. I think it was an intentional snub....BESIDES...I found the same items at the Farmers Exchange website for ~ half mowparts.com's prices.

Sorry Markp, you're in the wrong here. They can't wait around forever for you to discover your mistake.

Just posting what happened. Buy from them if you want.

Markup you should be honest with yourself and realize it was your mistake twice over. First for not knowing what part you were ordering. Second for dilly dallying around instead of checking the parts immediately when you got them. 30 days is plenty of time to recify errors on either side.

Not saying that I wasn't wrong to begin with, that is clearly stated in the op. I just disagree with their stance on the nonreturn aspect of a product that I clearly have no use for. Couple of days now and no reply to my email to them (other than the 10% off coupon) regarding this. VERY POOR customer service IMO. I figured to take my lumps before the initial post, I was just trying to warn others about their policy. Per the responses it looks as if not many agree with me lol. Fair enough.

What is there about their return policy that you do not understand? You bought the parts and their return policy was quite clear. Rather than trying the parts out on receipt, you chose to sit on your duff until the return period expired. And now you want everyone to believe your case is special. Time to grow up....

Sympathy can be found in the dictionary between you know what and syphilis. None here.

How many days past the 30 day return policy?

    Did you ask to return
    or
did you ask to exchange for the correct part?

If they would agree to an exchange, I would expect you to pay for all shipping. If this is over 60 days, it probably is not reasonable to ask.

He wants to return them for full credit because he states he found them cheaper elsewhere. We do what we can to keep our customers happy too but a line needs to be drawn.

I work for a heating manufacturer in the sales/technical division. On occasion, we get returns of durable goods (non-warranted items) after extended periods and it's no big deal except for the paperwork.

Nothing travels faster than bad news from an unhappy customer.

    Great job !

I ordered from them recently and it was a all good, very fast shipping. I also recieved a 10% off coupon, that might just be standard thing they do for customers. I can understand after 30 days policy for returns, many places do that. I say give them another chance, looks like in his reply he's trying to do the right thing.

That is customer service at it's best and applaud your company Mowpartcom!

I purchase all our mower parts for our school district from them and they are top notch and on the ball, I get emails when shipped, notified if something is not in stock. A+ in my opinion for service, products, and price.

So I found this thread because I am having a problem with mowpart.com. There is an alleged response from "Russell" who says he is an owner and provides contact phone numbers. Just like mowpart.com; none of the numbers work. Need I say more?

Never received the parts but they say it was delivered. Tried to contact them but their email address is not valid. No telephone on their web site. Scam
