Do you have a hybrid Bermuda lawn or a seeded variety? Seeded varieties tend to creep over a hybrid types.

How low do you mow? How often? Do you use a reel mower?

A rotary mower does not give you that clean cut and can cause your grass to give you that "strange pattern".
