My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
I've been meaning to ask this for a long time...does anybody do any maintenance to the axle bearings where the axle passes through the deck on self-propelled mowers?
Lube sounds like a good idea, but that's a 'dirty' environment. I was just wondering because in all the years I've been on this forum I have not heard it mentioned once. I guess these bearings must usually last as long as the deck.

The Lawn Boy Self-propelled mowers that I have had had grease zerks and I greased them. I use motorcycle chain lube on all pivot, motion, points on my push and riding mowers where zerks are not present.
Some use the "dirt" argument for not lubing chains of Dixon ZTRs for example, I use motorcycle chain lube and have replaced many chains AND sprockets from not being lubed on mowers I repaired. My chains and sprockets last "forever".
The chain lube is good- (my pj is a moly lube.) Also, in years past we'd use the greaseless lube in the light blue can LPS? if it is still available. Some would actually make an aerosol adapter to grease zirk for the Toro rear piviot arms. It would help clean them out and they wouldn't get all gummed up like with some of the crap folks put in their grease guns.
There is a product called 'Lithium Grease' that comes in an aerosol can. The grease is highly diluted with a solvent. You spray into tight areas and afterward the solvent evaporates leaving the grease behind to do it's job. I've found a lot of uses for this product and it might work for you. Remember, metal rubbing against metal without lubrication is not a good thing, (in most instances).
