Don't waste your money. I renovated in fall and had powdery mildew also. I have a mix of kbg which includes midnight types which are very susceptible. Easiest and most effective way is to do nothing. It will go away on its own........trust me. Other that that, don't water in the evening.

I had exactly two plants affected this spring. I put down some cornmeal (small bag from the supermarket) in those areas at the recommended rates, then I chopped the blades down to the ground with my weedwacker. Problem is gone now, and the grass is re-growing, but I don't know what did the trick. Could have just been the weather. Unless your outbreak is severe, don't worry too much about it, it likely will go away in the summer heat.

If you want to apply organic, toss out some cornmeal as mentioned above. Otherwise, spray some Spectracide Immunox fungicide. Either will do the trick. I had it earlier in spring because of a lot of rain and little sun. It looks worse than it really is, but I had to treat it with something.

Yes, try cornmeal. The best way, though, is to make sure the plants have plenty of room around them, don't water the leaves (water the ground) and don't water at night.
